Thanks for sharing Andrew, I’m assuming that you’re downloading the mp3 version from Big Finish and combining the separate files together yourself? If so, whatever program you’re using is not combining the files seamlessly as there is a clear and noticeable ‘glitch’ at each point where presumably the mp3 files have been combined together. Unfortunately your uploads of ‘Dethras’ and ‘The Silent Scream’ were similarly affected. May I humbly suggest that you either upload the separate mp3 files you originally downloaded from Big Finish here ‘as is’ or download the Audiobook version from them and simply upload that version here? Many Thanks.

Thanks Andrew. Sharing as you continue to do is much appreciated. However you wish to share your stuff is up to you. I for one don’t notice any glitches. So please don’t be discouraged by comments suggesting improvements to your generosity.

I Have to say, really wasn’t criticising Andrew’s (or indeed anyone else’s on here) obvious generosity Nodge. I was merely politely suggesting a couple of very feasible alternatives that Andrew may wish to consider in the future. Either one would easily eliminate what is a very noticeable technical issue that has very likely originated from the program Andrew has used to combine the mp3 files. Unfortunately very few programs combine mp3 files seamlessly. On a personal note: I have found when creating an mp3 album from CD, an easy method is to rip the files from the CD as wav files, then (using your audio software of choice) combine them into the appropriate episodes, behind the scenes etc. and then output those as mp3s. I only learned this through rather hellish weeks of trial and error with the Roxio Sound Editor program way back in 2010!! Regards :)

To join MP3s losslessly, try MP3DirectCut. You can check the joins and smooth them over — cut a few milliseconds or reduce the volume if there are any glitches.
Burmarsh2014’s idea of ripping MP3 to wave first will take much, much longer, and also degrade the audio, as it requires decoding and reencoding the audio.

Is anyone having issues downloading this? I’ve tried both torrent & magnet files. It looks like it starts downloading, then stops & stays in a “waiting” status. I have no other downloads going. I had no issues downloading other files from audiobookbay. Any help would be appreciated.
