You can cut it down to it’s constituent parts with mp3DirectCut without reencoding or changing the sound quality. It will even seach for the gaps between episodes.

You can use the program mp3split available here
https://sourceforge.net/projects/mp3splt/
and set the split detection to silence, adjusting for a minimum silence length of 5 seconds, leaving all other settings alone. Works like a charm.

Hard to please everyone! Any reason for the compression to 128kbp? Much prefer it as it comes (256) - less buzzing. Most people have enough bandwidth for the full size download these days. Thanks anyway though!

What a dick. And a stupid one. Don’t have search on your internet to find a solution for yourself?
Mp3 is the best all around and widely used format. Better to keep it in its original downloaded form and let people split it or convert it how they want. Which is easy and take only a few minutes. Also for the uploader you don’t have to check all the arts to confirm that the quality is still good and no missing parts after the conversion. I bet the dick doesn’t even support the authors either. Just steals their work and never repays.

You dont need to split it. Just use an audibook app. It will hold your place between listening sessions.
