@MontyII: To sell books. Her uncle was a very respected western author, and she (yes, J. A. Johnstone is his Niece) isn’t very talented himself, so she borrows his credibility by publishing with his name attached.
There is a clear difference in quality between the actual William Johnstone books, and the ones where he’s just tagged on. J. A. Johnstone has no real talent in writing. It’s extremely evident if you read his earlier works, and the books coming out today under his name.
His death wasn’t confirmed for 3 years, but he kept churning out books in that time period.
It’s rather distasteful, but effective, as people see William’s name, and assume it’s him.

MontyII and Lieve, couldn;t disagree more. Robert B Parker’s, Virgil Cole series are written by others since he died, so are Ralph Compton’s. When it comes to Johnstone, either one, and I’ve got most all of them some are better than others but I don’t see much difference in them. What pisses me off is if you don’t have something nice to say after someone goes to the trouble of posting a book why comment at all. You have no vested interest in it, yet feel the need to share YOUR views: DON’T Thanks as always Pamar.

@Realbums: You might not notice a difference, but most fans do I reckon. As for what pisses you off, that’s on you. I don’t much care about your hissy fit. This had nothing to do with the uploader or the book itself. I answered a question. So YOU can take YOUR holier than thou attitude, and shove it.
