Peter Pan didn’t live in Neverland, that was Michael Jackson. Barrie’s country is Never Never Land.

Thanks for the upload — the one star is for audible’s deceptive marketing.
For those who are unfamiliar with the 1911 PetervPan, this is not it.
Not sure how Audible released it without crediting the modern author of this update … Pretty sure even when a text is public domain you can’t simply rewrite it wholesale without calling it an adaptation at best.
It’s not necessarily bad but it is weird … More adult and if anything, far more sexist and racist than the original text (it sure isn’t a “woke” interpretation).
Granted, it is extremely well-read, and not badly written, but it sure isn’t Barrie’s Peter Pan.
(I don’t know if they even still assign Barrie’s book in schools … But if they do, do not download this version to help your child with a book report if you want them to get a passing grade).
Note: At the end of the recording, it states “Dramatized for audio by Paul Mars.”

Error: the first stage production of Peter Pan was 1904, not 1911, as I mistakenly said in the comments.
The play, originally composed of three acts, was often revised. The definitive version in five acts was published in 1928.
I think this adaptation includes some material from Barrie’s books.
